Pillow Book
Pillow Book
(In Japanese classical literature a type of private journal or diary)
For a narrative to take shape or even the notion of an atmosphere to begin#, one must have an intake of impression, and letting it come back to mind in its own time and form. Nighttime is the only lone time for all; behind closed eyelids reality warps in a narrative that contains certain light of view and a sound personal to each one. Soft flat or doubled up, our mind does not always rest when our head are upon the pillow.
Objects within art or craft tend to create an immediate reaction, an instant affect that assures the intention of the maker. What happen when the effect does not come easily translated? When a piece of work require time, stillness and attention to thought and one’s reaction, in order to notice what is being created within the spectator/participant for a narrative to take time to develop.
